A few years ago, I made a personal choice to work exclusively with found wood.  This intentional decision has provided more materials than I could imagine, kept healthy trees standing, and created a thoughtful community of wood-seekers around me. 

Friends are a wonderful part of this creative process, and my materials often come from a neighbor’s pruning or curbside spotting.  I am grateful for their support and enjoy their delight when we all finally see the transformation from branch to bowl.. or bird… or boat!
